Apple have quietly released a new Podcasts app that allows you to subscribe to and play your favorite podcasts on your iPhone or other igadget.
All audio is stored in its ‘Catalog’ and you can subscribe to each podcast to get the latest programmes in the series, much like you can on iTunes. You can listen either streaming or by downloads. The big advantage to this app is that podcasts can be more easily shared on social networking sites.
There are varying reviews of the app being banded about on the web but most agree this app is far from perfect.
It’s an interesting development and we’re eager to see what will happen next. Is this the beginning of the end for podcasts on iTunes?
